In India, Karim is licensed to appear before all levels of courts and has worked withmajor law offices such as the offices of Hon’ble Justice Indu Malhotra, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, prior to her elevation as a judge. Karim has also worked with Singhania & Partners LLP, a large full-service law firm based in Delhi and in the law offices of Sanjiv Kumar, a well-known criminal lawyer and former member of the Upper House of Parliament in India, the Rajya Sabha. Karim has written several articles and is also one of the authors of the Laws of the DIFC Volume 1 published by LexisNexis. She is a member of the DIFC Pro Bono Committee.

Experience

Ayesha, of counsel at Mahmood Hussain Advocates and Legal Consultancy (MHLF), has been based in Dubai since 1999. Ayesha now regularly advises foreign commercial companies and major foreign law firms on all aspects of UAE law. She is has well experienced in both contentious and  non-contentious matters. Throughout her longstanding career, she has worked on  range of commercial and corporate clients that include multinational   American and European  companies. Ayesha is licensed to appear before all levels of courts in India and has worked with major law offices such as the offices of Hon’ble Justice Indu Malhotra, currently Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Karim has also worked with Singhania & Partners LLP, a large full-service law firm based in Delhi and in the law offices of Sanjiv Kumar, a well-known criminal lawyer and former member of the Upper House of Parliament in India, the Rajya Sabha.

Ayesha’s has published a  myriad of articles. She also notably contributed to the Laws of DIFC Volume 1 as an author.

Ayesha has a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the prestigious Sriram College of Commerce Delhi University and an L.L.B. (Hons) degree from the  renowned Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, India. To further her education, she later obtained a certificate in Banking and Finance and a diploma in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of London.

She is a member of the Delhi Bar Council; registered with the DIFC (Part II) and the DIFC Pro Bono Committee. She is also certified by the Government Court of Dubai, Legal Affairs Department.
